Iran, the next leg in America’s 21st century war on China
The cosplaying president bombs Iran against all rational argument like it’s a video game. However, unlike a video first-person shoot-em-up that has no real world consequences, Donald Trump’s foray into a direct war with a powerful nation may result in severe blowback and start another of America’s forever wars.
War, huh! What is it good for?
Well, absolutely nothing for you and me. But for the US state elite with a big dog in the race, maybe this.
Made In China 2025
When Made In China 2025 was launched under Xi Jinping in 2015, it was apparent that a jealous America would try to stop it. All those beautiful, futuristic cities were red rags to an enraged hegemon that couldn’t compete.
The efforts of Nixon, Kissinger and Mao had transformed China from a Cold War enemy into America’s factory providing affordable goods. But its vast economies of scale performed another function. President Reagan was able to use this cheap Chinese labour to disguise the transfer of wealth from poor to rich in tax cuts, allowing the working and middle classes to live beyond their means as they were hollowed out.
As China grew richer, Americans became poorer. Not by moving manufacturing out, but by the elite siphoning off wealth by stealth.
China was always able to put off immediate gratification, unlike the gluttonous superpower. It clamped down on corruption, a perennial temptation inside the overflowing sweetshop. Prioritising long term planning, China regained the prosperous status it had before Britain and its allies (including America) looted and semi-colonised it for a hundred years during the Opium Wars fallout.
It went from strength to strength, investing its wealth in raising 800 million out of poverty, creating the biggest middle-class in the world and building fabulous infrastructure, all without firing a shot.
However, once the American upper set had sucked its own people dry and China was clearly providing a model for an increasingly immiserated western workforce, the elites were mortified. Up with this they would not put.
China’s key allies resisting US dominance had to be hobbled.

Ticking off the target countries
We know the identity of the seven countries the US neocons planned to take out in the Project for the New American Century, as told to Wesley Clarke in 2001: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran. “We’re going to take out seven countries in five years,” Paul Wolfowitz informed him, proving David Bowie to be prescient in his 1972 song giving us Five Years. The policy has enriched Wolfowitz, who became chief of the World Bank.
“In 2005, in the wake of the war in Iraq that he advocated, Wolfowitz becomes the 10th President of the World Bank. In 2006, Robert Kagan — neocon architect of the Project for the New American Century and who is married to US Ambassador to Nato, Victoria Nuland — will name the Ukraine as being key in “the extension of Western liberal hegemony”. At the trial of Apple Daily tycoon Jimmy Lai in January 2024, Wolfowitz will be linked to the 2019 Hong Kong protests.”
It’s taken a bit longer than five years but we’re nearly there. After George W Bush’s Iraq War victory speech in 2005, when his camp reiterated their designation of China as a “strategic competitor” it was obvious China was being added to the list alongside Russia for a grotesque endgame. Nuclear enabled North Korea is likely to feature. As is Houthi Yemen.
Russia was targeted via Ukraine by Biden from 2013 and goaded into conflict. Who can forget, “F*ck the EU” uttered expletively by Victoria Nuland to the US ambassador in Ukraine prior to the coup? Or Secretary of State James Baker’s promise in 1990 to Gorbachev regarding Nato expansion if the USSR capitulated: “Not one inch east”? Ah, yes, western politicians and media in the orbit of the United States of Amnesia.
The EU had been gravitating towards China, uniting the Eurasia landmass through Belt and Road trade. It was fractured by Brexit (pushed by Thiel/Palantir, Cambridge Analytica, Nigel Farage, Boris Johnson), allowing the Right to surface. What emerged is a snarling homicidal coterie intent on mass murder of Russians and Chinese, and with an eye on the Europe fund grift. We expect much of it to disappear into Cayman Island and other offshore facilities.
Iran reaches its WMD moment
And now Iran — accused over 30 years of nuclear weapons capability within weeks by Israel that actually does illegally possess nuclear weapons — is bombed overnight, perhaps by US B-52s, presumably flying from Britain’s Diego Garcia (to be confirmed). This follows last week’s missile strikes by Israel, still carrying out their genocidal hits on starving Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, on the eve of supposed negotiations between Iran and US envoy Witkoff. And only weeks since China’s BRI railroad reached Iran, opening it up to Europe and India. Iran is one of China’s biggest sources of oil, so there’s that advantage if you’re a loser taking down your biggest rival because you don’t know how to cooperate.
Contrary to Iran seeking nuclear weapons, even Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard initially testified this wasn’t the case. A 2003 fatwa forbade their production and use. This continued beyond the JCPOA agreement which Trump pulled out of in 2018.
Iran’s civil nuclear energy programme now furnishes Trump and Israel with a WMD excuse to “obliterate” the 6,000-year old civilisation. Expect the fatwa to be revoked. Iran might as well be hung for a sheep as for a non-existent lamb.
So the path is cleared for America’s next target, China. And this is, after all, the year of Made In China 2025.
They’re all neocons now
Trump entered power in 2017 during a period of worldwide geopolitical stability and immediately launched his trade war on China. Pursuing the rising superpower like Captan Ahab and his white whale obsession through NED-funded Hong Kong riots and Covid mismanagement, he doubled down on Obama’s 2010 Pivot to Asia. Biden made it worse instead of reversing it. Trump2 wants a showdown in 2025.
Because, whoever wins the US election, imperialism always gets in.
All so a cancerous elite can maintain its power.
It doesn’t matter that Iran had no nuclear weapons. It counts not a jot that China peacefully provided Americans with affordable Stuff. Or that it saved the global economy from America’s greed-fuelled Great Crash meltdown of 2008, kicking off the longest ever bull-run in markets. The elite monsters who made fortunes from the revival courtesy of China have stashed their cash and require feeding.
