The launch party of the Chinese in Britain series was held at BBC Broadcasting House, London, on Thursday 26th April 2007. Makers, contributors, media and friends gathered in the hallowed Council Chamber of the BBC to celebrate over tea and cream cakes.
BBC Radio 4 commissioning editor Jane Ellison opened proceedings and then I said a few words about the series, the latest in an impressive line of work from producer Mukti Jain Campion. Mukti then gave us a fascinating Powerpoint presentation of the series which included pictures provided by our contributors.
